Real-world tips from users in China
- Hellobike is the market leader in second- and third-tier cities; in Shanghai and Beijing the orange Meituan and green DiDi bikes dominate instead.
- Hellobike's electric mopeds (共享助力车) are very common in smaller cities — pay per ride with the same account.
- Short trips cost about ¥1.5–3; use the Alipay mini-program to grab occasional free-ride coupons.
- Parking zones matter — ending a trip outside one is the most common reason travellers get charged extra.
