Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use DiDi in China as a foreigner?
Download DiDi, enable GPS location, and register with your phone number. Enter your destination, confirm the pickup point, and request a ride. GPS must be on for the app to function.
Why won't DiDi find my location?
DiDi requires GPS location to be enabled. Turn on location services for the app in your phone settings, then allow permission when prompted. Without GPS, the app cannot match you with drivers.
Can I pay DiDi with a foreign credit card?
DiDi accepts WeChat Pay and Alipay most commonly. Foreign credit cards may not link directly. Set up a mobile payment method before your trip or pay cash where supported.
Is DiDi available in English?
DiDi's interface is mainly Chinese. Use a translation tool or set your phone's translation feature to navigate menus. The booking flow is straightforward once translated.
