Setup Guide
-
Download the App
Search for Soul on the App Store or Google Play. The app is in Chinese, so use a translation tool if needed during setup.
-
Register with Phone Number
Registration typically requires a phone number. A Chinese mobile number works best, but international numbers may also be accepted during signup.
-
Create Your Avatar
Soul emphasizes anonymous, interest-based matching. Set up a virtual avatar instead of a real photo to start connecting with others.
-
Add Your Interests
Tag your hobbies and topics so the app can match you with like-minded users. Interest tags drive most of the recommendation engine.
-
Start Chatting and Matching
Browse soul-matching posts, join voice rooms, or swipe through matches. The app works normally across mainland China without a VPN.
