Setup Guide
-
Download the App
Search 'JD.com' on App Store or Google Play. The app is also listed as '京东' in Chinese app stores.
-
Create an Account
Register with a phone number. International numbers are accepted. You can also log in with WeChat if you already have an account.
-
Add a Delivery Address
Go to Account → My Addresses → Add Address. Enter your Chinese address in full — building number, floor, and unit. Precise addresses matter: JD couriers will call if anything is unclear.
-
Link a Payment Method
JD accepts WeChat Pay, Alipay, and Chinese bank cards. International credit cards are not widely supported — set up WeChat Pay or Alipay first.
-
Choose JD Self-Operated Listings
Look for the '京东自营' (JD Direct) badge on product listings. These are sold and shipped directly by JD, not marketplace sellers — quality and speed are more reliable.
-
Track Your Order
Go to Orders → All Orders to see real-time delivery updates. JD Logistics typically delivers same-day in Beijing and Shanghai if you order before noon, next-day elsewhere.
